A K Nakpal on Sunday said that proposals have been sent to the Centre for development of roads in the eight Left Wing extremist affected districts in the State with Rs 2,000 crores.
Speaking to the media here, Nakpal said that the proposal was sent to the Centre to develop the roads in the areas in the second phase. The proposed Rs 2,000 crores would be spent for development of 30 km of roads in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Warangal, Karimnagar and Khamam, which have border with Odisha, Chattisgarh and Maharashtra States.
Nakpal also said that re-tenders would be called for development of the road from Kunta to Sukuma and works would be taken up at the earliest. (NSS)
