At least 33 people were killed and scores of others injured in three separate road accidents across Nepal today.
As many as 30 people were killed in Doti district of western Nepal, when a passenger bus heading for Dhangadhi city from Achham district, veered off near Chhativan village in the district, 600 km west from here, according to the police.
Thirteen other people sustained serious injured as the bus fell 300 metre down from the hilly road at 2.30 in the
morning, they said.
The injured passengers have been admitted to local hospitals in Dipayal and Dhangadi for treatment.
The police have said that the accident might have taken place due to the slippery road.
In separate incidents, two female pedestrians were killed when a motor bike hit them in Urlabari area of Morang district and an elderly man was killed in a car accident in Sisneri of Makawanpur district, the police said.
