Road Accidents: 3 persons killed today

A 49-year-old woman succumbed to the injuries which she sustained when the motorcycle, on which she was a pillion rider, was hit by a water tanker.

The accident occurred near Bandlaguda cross roads on Saturday when the victim, BS Sashikala, was travelling on a motorcycle along with her son Eshwar. Both sustained injuries and were rushed to KIMS for treatment. Sashikala died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment, Rajendra Nagar police said.

In another case, Puran Thapa, 36, died of injuries which he suffered on June 18 after he was hit by a car near Madhapur cross roads. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died on Sunday. He was an employee of a bar and resident of Chandranaik Tanda. He hailed from Assam.

In a different case, K Surender, 27, died on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near Uppal on Saturday evening. He was a painter and resident of Indira Nagar. (INN)
