Mumbai, December 30: Bollywood actor Ritiesh Deshmukh, who has proved his comic worth on the big screen, says he was “serious and angry” all day while shooting for director Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rann’ as the role demanded that avatar.
“I had to put up the serious look to get into the skin of his character of Purab Shastri, an investigative journalist working for Vijay Harshvardhan Malik’s (Bachchan) news channel. Even when the camera was not rolling I would maintain the serious and angry expression and never smiled since the character was not meant to be jovial,” he said.
Ritiesh shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Gul Panag, Rajat Kapoor and Kannada actor Sudeep in the movie, which hits the theatres on January 22 next year.
