NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid pinpointed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth and made comments on him.
“Yogi ji se kahiye ki rishte mein main unka baap lagta hun… Ab woh uske liye kya kahenge ki beta bada naakaara nikla. Gau mata ko khana bhi nahi pura pahunchata(Tell Yogi ji that I am like his father… What would he say then, that the son has become useless, who does not even give enough food to cows),” Khurshid told in a conversation with the media persons in Farrukhabad, the seat from where he is contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
The comment comes after UP CM had attacked Khurshid while campaigning in Farrukhabad’s Mohammadabad. During his rally, Yogi questioned Khurshid’s support to Batla Encounter terrorist.
Adityanath had said, “He (Salman Khurshid) is the Congress candidate from here. He should be asked what is his relation with the terrorists of Batla House (in Delhi) and in which capacity did he decide to pursue their case,” as per media reports.
On April 20, PM Modi also spoke on the Batla House encounter while accusing the Congress of having “vote-bhakti” (devotion for votes) than “deshbhakti” (nationalism).
