Rise and shine: KTR tells youth

IT Minister KT Rama Rao today exhorted the youth to rise and shine by grabbing every opportunity in the wake of digital revolution dictating the world growth.

Launching Cyient Digital Center at Shilpa Kala Vedika near Madhapur here, KTR said India is proud to have a big talent pool. If the youth pursue their higher education in a proper way and excel others, they can take the things into their stride and dictate the world, he averred.

The youth is a great asset for the country as they are over 50 per cent of population in 25 years age group. There was ample scope and opportunities in IT sector in India and the world was looking at it, he said. KTR also said most of the talented people spread across the world are Indians. He also felt that the governments have to tap the talent to become role model to others, he said. While IT offices, which used to exist in a building in Ameerpet a few years ago, now the world class IT companies are stationed in Hyderabad, he said.

KTR attributed this phenomenal change of a large number of IT, ITES and other offices to the digital revolution ruling the roost. As a result, a total of 12 lakh people getting employment besides increasing manifold the turnover to thousands of crores from the previous Rs 10 cr. Finance Minister Etala Rajender, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy were present. (NSS)
