Rights activists demand release of Prof. Saibaba

Condemning the alleged conspiracy to murder Prof. G N Saibaba in jail, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Struggle Committee for Release of Prof. G N Saibaba has demanded that the Maharshtra government release Prof. GN Saibaba unconditionally and withdraw illegal cases filed against him. The Committee also demanded that the Maharashtra government allow a doctors team, who treated him earlier.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Committee members Vara Vara Rao (Virasam), N Narayana Rao (CRPP), Balla Ravindranath and M Raju (PDM) demanded that the governments withdraw suppression on rights activists and on political believers, stop destruction in the name of digging up of resources. They urged the Universities Professors, intellectuals, democratic thinkers and rights activists to move forward demanding the release of Prof. Saibaba.
They alleged that the Maharashtra government was trying to kill Saibaba by giving fake medicines. They said the government has to allow expert doctors team to conduct Angiogram tests on Saiababa, who was suffering from heart related ailments. They said Saibaba was suffering from multiple deceases like BP, heart ailments, shoulder nerve weakness and back pain. Though he needs good food and regular medical tests, there are no such facilities in the jail. The government has to release Saibaba, who was 90 percent physically disabled due to ailments in view, they demanded. (NSS)
