There was tussle between the supporters of Telangana and YSR Congress workers during the padyatra of Ms. Sharmila in Mahboobnagar Dist. at Shanthinagar.
Students’ organization of TRS demanded Ms. Sharmila to express her intentions about Telangana. They staged dharna and shouted slogans. Three days back, Ms. Sharmila had given a statement soon after entering Mahboobnagar that Dr. YSR wanted to keep A.P. integrated. Police resorted to lathi charge and dispersed the agitating students. When these students tried to stop her padyatra, there was a clash between them and the supporters of YSR Congress Party workers. The Police arrested some agitators. Against this, the supporters of Telangana staged dharna, which created problems for the flow of traffic.
President of TRS Students, Suman criticized Ms. Sharmila that instead of making her stand clear to public on Telangana, she is deceiving them. They demanded Ms. Sharmila to support Telangana cause and said that an attack on the students is an attack on Telangana Movement. Ms. Sharmila criticized Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. and Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu and said that they have failed to fulfill their responsibilities.
