Riches in Rags: Beggar brings Rs. 50 lakh to deposit in bank, owns pan card too

Hyderabad: Demonetisation has affected every sector in the country. It has not spared beggars as well. In a bizarre incident a beggar’s riches were exposed when he revealed possessing Rs. 50 lakh cash. When the beggar walked into the bank, the bank staff thought he had come to exchange currency. When asked he told that he came to deposit money. He handed over a bag full of notes worth Rs. 50 lakh to the bank staff. The people in the queue were also shocked to see such huge amount possessed by the beggar.

Bank officials told the beggar, if you want to deposit money in your account over here, you need to submit your Pan card and give proof of money documents. On this the beggar said he has pan card and he got the money after selling two acres of land. He informed that begging is his family profession; several members of his family are associated with this profession. Bankers suggested him to submit land property documents for depositing the amount. So the beggar returned with the money bag.
