Du-ba-Du (Face-to-Face) Matrimonial Alliance Program was held yesterday at S.A. Imperial Garden, Towlichowki. Mr. Abid Siddiqui, President of Minorities Development Forum presided over the function. Mr. Mohammed Moinuddin, Chairman of Federation of Towlichowki Colonies was the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering of the parents and guardians, Mr. Siddiqui told that there is a need to change the traditional thought process and life style for the Muslim community. The evil effects of dowry and extravagant expenses are worrying many families. As a result of this evil, the number of divorces and separations are on the increase which is very shameful for the Muslim community. The main objective of MDF movement is to eradicate evil practices of dowry and extravaganza in marriages. We have made marriages so complicated that our daughters are forced to select non-Muslim boys as their husbands.
The matrimonial program of MDF is yielding rich dividends. So far, more than 500 matrimonial alliances have been finalized.
Mr. Mohammed Moinuddin told that Siasat Urdu Daily and MDF have revolutionized the Muslim society. Mr. Mohammed Shahid Husain conducted the meeting.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Mohammed Haneef, Mr. Mohammed Majid Ansari, Mr. Shaik Husain (Chicago, America) and others were present on this occasion. There were 10 counters according to the qualifications of the candidates. Mr. Faheem Ansari, Mr. Zahid Farooqui and Mr. Mohammed Abid made all the arrangements.
