Govt. of Telangana has announced that it will increase the quota of rice for the poor which is being supplied to them at the rate of Re. one per Kg. While talking to newsmen yesterday after submitting the report of the cabinet Sub-Committee to the CM, Finance Minister, Mr. E. Rajender told that every family member will be supplied 6 kg rice per month. He further told that so far, 20 Kg rice was being supplied. He also informed that Food Security Cards will be issued to all the deserving families. The maximum income limit for Rural families has been increase from Rs. 60000 to Rs. 1.5 lakh and in Urban areas it has been raised from Rs. 75000 to Rs. 2 lakh. There is no limit on the number of members in the family. Mr. N. Narasimha Reddy, Home Minister, who was a member of the cabinet sub-committee expressed the hope that Mr. KCR will accept all the recommendations of the committee.
