Riaz warns Kiwis to be wary of Pak’s pace attack

Wellington : Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz has warned New Zealand to be wary of his side in the upcoming series as they have got more variety and experience in their pace attack.

“We will pose a tougher challenge to New Zealand than Sri Lanka did because we have more variety and experience in our pace attack,” the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Riaz said that although the hosts have been playing really well these days it would not be easy for them to score runs against Pakistan.

“It seems like cricket is very easy these days for the New Zealand batsmen.

They’ve been hitting balls really well. It’s going to be a different challenge because we have much more good bowlers than Sri Lanka. They lacked experience, but we have experience and some quality bowlers as well,” he said.

According to Riaz, the upcoming series against the Kiwis would also provide perfect preparation for the World T20 and would also help in boosting the side’s confidence.

Pakistan will play a three-match T20 series and three-match ODI series against New Zealand, starting from Friday in Auckland. (ANI)
