Johannesburg: Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz believes his side have the potential and enough bowling fire power to trouble Alastair Cook’s men in the forthcoming series against England.
The 30-year-old left hander said Pakistan have variety in their bowling but added that his side need to acclimatise to the England conditions swiftly in order to put pressure on the hosts early in the series, Sport24 reported.
Describing England as a very tough opponent in home conditions, Riaz said the tourists need to be at their prime best in order to give a neck-to-neck competition to their rivals.
Pakistan will tour England for a four-match Test series and a five-match ODI series, starting from July 14 at Lord’s.
Meanwhile, England are currently at their menacing best, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series against Sri Lanka after comprehensively defeating Angelo Mathews’ side by nine wickets in the second match in Chester-le-Street on Monday. (ANI)
