The RGIA Police arrested a notorious house breaking offender who was allegedly involved in various offences in different police stations limits.
The accused, R Shankar Naik, was arrested during vehicle checking drive at Kishanguda flyover bridge on Thursday night. Police recovered 70 tolas gold, 50 tolas silver and one stolen Activa bike from his possession. His associates – Yadaiah and Nagaraju, who used to mortgage the stolen items with different finance companies have also been arrested.
According to RGAI police, Naik, a resident of Attapur was earlier arrested in 2012 and 2013 for his alleged involved in 30 offences of house breaking under Achampet and Wanaparthy police limits. As many as 18 warrants were pending against him. He was arrested by the Mahabubnagar Rural Police in December 2013 and was released on bail on May 21 this year. After his release, he committed two house-breaking offences in Shadnagar, eight in Shamshabad and four in Kottur police limits.
The case was investigated by Detective Inspector K Sudarshan Reddy, Inspector Sudhakar and other police personnel.
