RGI Airport Custom Officials seize 1.5 Kg gold from two passenger

The RGI Airport Custom Officials at Shamshabad Airport has seized 1.5 Kilograms of Gold from two passenger.

Based on intelligent profiling, the officers of Customs Air Intelligence night hours of Monday intercepted two passengers by name Mahesh Ramchand and Bhavesh Matlani who arrived from Singapore Airlines in the night of June 16, 2014.

On questioning by the officers, about possession of any dutiable / prohibited goods, the passenger denied and replied in negative. Because of the nervous behavior and suspicious nature of the passenger, the officers have conducted detailed personal search, as a result of which they have recovered Gold totally weighing 1.5 Kg deftly concealed by the passenger. The passenger was interrogated and he admitted the offence. (INN)
