Revolutionary changes vital for development: KCR

Opining that development was possible only with revolutionary changes, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said his government believes in revolutionary changes for the development of the nation and the development was possible only when the governments extend their support to industries.

Addressing the three-day 27th All India Builders Association Celebrations started at Ramoji Film City here on January 8, KCR said China was developed only after it was transformed into Capitalist nation from Communism. “India too has to think on the lines of China for the development of the nation”, he opined.

Recalling his China tour, KCR asked Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to make the Centre to concentrate on providing opportunities to the industries for development of the nation while giving priority to the States like Telangana. He also said the change was inevitable for construction of nation and suggested that the Centre recognize contractors as working agencies. The Chief Minister said the construction sector was providing more employment after the agriculture sector in India and praised Telangana contractors saying they have good name across the nation and globally.

Speaking on Land Acquisition Act, KCR opined previous Congress government’s Land Acquisition Act was not clear and stressed the need to make suitable changes in the present Central government’s Land Acquisition Act. “The new Act was creating troubles in acquiring land and industrialization was not possible without acquiring land”, he said, adding that the Telangana government was purchasing land by issuing G.O.No.123.

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the builders were part of the construction of strong and state-of-the-art India. In his inaugural address, Venkaiah Naidu assured the builders that he would take the builders to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Wishing success of Centre’s dream of “Make in India” and “Swachh Bharath” programs, Naidu reminded that the World Bank and IMF certified that the nation was going on developmental path. Making it clear that the BJP government’s aim was all-round development, Venkaiah said he urged AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi to extend cooperation for passage of the GST and Real Estate Bills in Parliament. He revealed that the Centre would take up construction of 10,000 KM roads across the nation in the coming financial year. He also said the Centre was moving forward in creating infrastructure in the nation.
