Hyderabad, October 18: Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee reiterated its stand that its strike would continue till the separate Telangana state is formed.
They would consider to end the strike if all the Telangana ministers resign. Leaders of Telangana Employees’ JAC met Dr. K. Keshava Rao, M.P. at his residence yesterday and exchanged the views about the excesses of the Govt., the cases filed against the employees and the strategy for continuing employees’ strike. Later, talking to newsmen Mr. Swamy Goud, President of Telangana Employees JAC, Mr. Devi Prasad, Mr. C. Vithal & Mr. V. Srinivas Goud, Secretary General Employees JAC told that the strike will continue till the formation of Telangana state. They told that they would consider to call off employees’ strike if all the ministers belonging to Telangana region resign from the Govt.
They targeted the attitude of the Govt. saying that the Govt. on the one hand negotiating to put an end to strike but on the other hand, it is registering cases against the Govt. employees.
They clarified that ‘Rail Roko’ programme is not the one for which they had given a call. The employees leaders did not participate in it also. But inspite of that the Govt. is booking fabricated cases against the employees which is entirely an undemocratic action. It is nothing but a wretched attempt to crush the strike.
