Former Minister and Chairman, A.P. Congress Media Committee Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir wrote a letter to Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, CM of A.P. to explore the possibilities of constructing school buildings for English medium schools and colleges in 12 districts and also to recruit teachers.
He suggested that review meeting should be convened by the CM. He was addressing a press meet at Gandhi Bhavan yesterday. He told the media persons that when he was minister G.O. No. 20 was issued on 17th July 2007 for providing infrastructure for English medium high schools and colleges in 12 districts with residential facilities and free education for minorities.
The collectors of these districts were instructed to make lands available for school and college buildings. Most of the collectors have not identified lands. Govt. has provided Rs. 19 crore for constructing school and college buildings. He requested the CM to convene a review meeting as early as possible.
