Government has decided to reconduct EAMCET following leak of question papers last month. TSCHE will soon release schedule. CM KCR called leakage of question paper as painful and unfortunate; appealed to parents and students to understand the indispensability of the situation and cooperate with the Government. CM held a review meeting with Deputy CM K. Srihari, Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy, senior officials from Education Department, Intelligence wing to peruse various options. Officials informed CM that 5 main accused were arrested while 34 brokers and 200 parents who were in touch with them were identified. Officials also informed CM that on all the 70 occasions when test papers were leaked in the country, Governments went for re-exam. CM has asked officials to ensure students sit for the retest with old hall ticket numbers, avail free travel on RTC buses. JNTU will hold the EAMCET again.
