Review of the cases of Muslim youths by Home Minister

Home Minister Ms. Sabitha Indira Reddy along with the higher police officials reviewed the cases booked against the students who participated in the Telangana movement and cases of Muslim youths of the old city of Hyderabad.

Last week, speaker of the Assembly, Mr. N. Manohar had instructed the Home Minister to convene a review meeting and consider the cases against the Muslim youths.

The Home Minster convened a meeting with Commissioner of Police Mr. A.K. Khan and some people’s representatives. It was told in the meeting that steps are being taken to withdraw the cases of some Muslim youths whose character and conduct are found to be good and the cases against the students who took part in Telangana agitation. So far 843 cases have been withdrawn and 824 cases are pending. These cases will be decided soon.
