Reverted Muslim Dr. Iffath Fatima loses both legs

Dr. Iffath Fatima (birth name Padma Reddy) says she was very much impressed by the Muslims since her childhood; she used to respect their prayers and family values. 41 year old Dr. Iffath Fatima who embraced Islam in 2005 has done BHMS from Nagpur University. She arrived at Siasat office but since she has lost both the legs and can’t climb stairs her interview was taken in the auto itself. She told that she was born to a farmer in a village near Kodangal. Her parents are no more. Recalling the sudden change in her life Dr. Iffath Fatima said she came to Hyderabad for EAMCET coaching and stayed as a tenant in the house of Zahoorunnisa at Chikadpally RTC X road.

The inmates of the house used to watch Qtv. Padma liked the channel very much. Zahoorunnisa took care of Padma as her own daughter which instilled love of Islam in Padma’s hearth. After one year coaching Padma went back to Nagpur she read Telugu translation of Quran and Ahadeeth and in 2005 she embraced Islam. Regarding her disability she told that she used to ride scooty since 1999. She met with an accident in 2011 near Attapur one of her legs had to be

amputated. In 2013 her other leg was also severed due to infection. Dr. Iffath Fatima wishes to attach prosthetic legs. She collected Rs. 1.5 lakh through practice however the expenditure for attaching prosthetic legs comes to more than 4 lakh rupees. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat has announced a fund of Rs. 1 lakh. Hopefully readers will also come forward to extend financial help for their reverted Muslim sister.
