Revenue officials started fencing state land

According to sources, depending on water and land availability in Krishna and Guntur district, Capital structures, an administrative town-ship and industrial hubs will come up in the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalgiri Urban Development Authority near the proposed Outer Ring Road.

Revenue officers started fencing government lands in Guntur and are also preparing proper documentation for revenue lands.

According to a minister in Mr Naidu’s Cabinet, on condition of anonymity, said, “The capital township will be near Vijayawada and Guntur and we will check for water avail-ability; it will also be closer to the proposed Outer Ring Road. In Krishna, areas like Nuzivid, Nandigama, Ibrahimpatnam and Hanuman Junction and in Guntur, towns like Sattenapalli, Nara-saraopet and Tenali areas will be connected by the ORR. The ORR will encircle the VGTM UDA area and the capi-tal will be inside it.”

State officials are hoping that apart from land available in Guntur, land acquired from farmers will be used to build a town-ship from Pulichintala downstream up to Prakasam barrage on the right side of river Krishna.
Atchampet, Krosuru, Tadikonda, Amaravati and Sattenapally have been identified as government lands over other areas in VGTM UDA area.

Nuzivid is also being considered due to availability of government land. Meanwhile, Officials said that though it will be difficult to access Krishna river water, huge water bodies (lakes) like Pedda Cheruvu and Brahmaya Lingam Cheruvu near Nuzivid will be assessed.

Vivek Yadav, Guntur Joint collector said, “We are now listing all kind of government lands including waqf, endowments, forest and revenue lands under VGTM UDA limits. The data is uploaded to www.sarkarbhumi.ap.gov.in and we are also uploading photo-graphs. Fencing work has begun in all munic-ipal limits to protect the land.”
