Revenue officer caught taking bribe

Hyderabad, January 08: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau trapped Adi Ravinder Rao, village revenue officer in Pudur village in Rangareddy district when he accepted a bribe of `15,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour of processing his file and mutation of his land. The accused official reportedly went to the national highway No 7, parked his Zen car and instructed the complainant to put the amount in the dash board of the car, after which he was caught by the ACB officials. The tainted amount was seized and Ravinder Rao has been arrested, said an ACB release.
