Varanasi: In another shocking incident, XI class girl, daughter of the woman who won Panchayat elections in a village in Mirzapur was allegedly gang-raped by her mother’s poll rival to take revenge.
She was kidnapped by two men of a rival group on Wednesday when she was asleep in her house. Later, she was gang-raped in a field.
However, after rape when girl approach police station, police refused to file an FIR against the accused. Seeing the inaction of the police, depressed girl committed suicide on Friday.

After girl committed suicide, police filed a complaint and arrested the two accused.
Mr. Arvind Sen, SP of Mirzapur confirmed that the girl was gang-raped to take revenge of poll defeat. He also said that the accused were the relatives of the candidate who lost in Block Development Council Elections.
