Telangana Telugu Desam working president A Revanth Reddy here on Saturday alleged that the ruling TRS was resorting to misuse of official machinery to manage victory in the Warangal parliamentary by-election.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Revanth Reddy described favourable news reports by pro-TRS media as paid news. Though there is a limit that contesting candidates should not spend more than Rs 70 lakh in the election, the TRS candidate has already distributed Rs 6 crore for cooking up favourable news reports, he alleged and demanded that the Election Commission debar the ruling party nominee from the election.
The TTDP leader also said they did not serve a notice on the ruling party though Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took some decisions to woo voters on the eve of the bypoll. He also alleged that the TRS and YSRCP have conspired to prevent victory of BJP candidate and fielded YSRCP candidate in the election. (NSS)
