Revanth urges cine industry to help mitigate problems of farmers

Telangana TDP working president and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy today called upon people in cine industry to come forward to help mitigate problems of the distressed farmers in the State.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy exhorted film actors, producers, directors and others to come forward to lend a helping hand to the poor farmers. He also assured that his party would extend all possible assistance if they organize any program. The film celebrities and industrialists should help the farmers, who were committing suicides due to various reasons like crop failure and debts.

Meanwhile, Telangana TDP floor leader in Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao said “the real face of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is exposed”. He alleged that KCR has not given any clear assurance on the farmers’ problems though the Assembly discussed the issue for two days. “The TDP is going to the people to infuse confidence among the farmers. We will fight for a permanent solution to the woes of the tillers”, he added.

The TDP started a bus yatra from NTR bhavan on Tuesday for inculcating confidence among farmers. The BJP MLAs and other parties’ leaders are also accompanying them in the bus, he said. (NSS)
