TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, who was out on interim bail for 12 hours in ‘Cash for Vote’ case, attended the engagement ceremony of his lone daughter Nymisha with Satyanarayana Reddy at N Convention Centre at Madhapur here on Thursday.
Revanth Reddy came out of Cherlapally Central Jail at 6 AM and drove straight for his residence in Jubilee Hills. His daughter Nymisha burst into tears after receiving her father at home after 12 days. He was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on May 31 and was lodged in Cherlapally Central Jail. The MLA kept a jovial face all the time and was seen cosoling all the family members saying nothing has happened.
Many political personalities including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu attended the engagement ceremony along with their families. Revanth Reddy posed for photographs sitting by the side of TDP chief and other leaders. Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Lokesh and his wife Brahmani, Cabinet ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy, Rajya Sabha Member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy, former ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy and Danam Nagender and other leaders of both the Telugu States attended the function.
Clad in traditional clothes, Revanth Reddy introduced his son-in-law-to-be G Satyanarayana Reddy, son of Venkat Reddy and Lakshmi Parvathi, to the dignitaries.
As per the bail conditions, Revanth Reddy was accompanied throughout the bail period by a police escort and he did not speak to the media. (INN)
