Revanth demands judicial probe into Nayeem’s encounter  

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy has demanded that the State government order a judicial probe into the encounter of gangster and renegade naxal Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem.

Speaking to the media at NTR trust bhavan here on Thursday, Revanth Reddy said the State government should order a judicial probe by a sitting judge into the circumstances that led to encounter of Nayeem and other details post encounter, including seizure of his diary and documents of properties. “I have no belief into probe by a SIT team which works under the direction of the government”, the TDP leader said, adding that different stories are coming out in the media. Hence, the government should make an official statement into the encounter, he demanded.

Revanth Reddy alleged that attempts were being made to target a respected family of Uma Madhava Reddy after Nayeem’s encounter. “The party will always stand behind Madhav Reddy family and we will not keep quiet if the image of that family would be tarnished”, he warned. (NSS)
