For the first time, the BJP and TDP leaders today joined to take on the TRS on Medak bypoll.
Addressing a public meeting along with BJP candidate Jagga Reddy, TDP leader A Revanth Reddy today fumed at the TRS leadership for luring the voters with false sops for votes.
They even declared that they would hit the leaders with ‘chappal’ if anyone makes false allegations that they are supporters of united Andhra Pradesh. “We will teach such leaders a lesson if they resort to indulge in such useless propaganda”, they warned. They called upon the people to help Jagga Reddy win the by-election and get a Railway line to Gajwel sanctioned.
“If you vote for the BJP candidate, your works will be done at the Centre level. If Jagga Reddy was elected as an MP from Medak, he would take up new railway line issue to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi besides taking up all other problems. It is only Jagga Reddy, who is capable of taking on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Medak. If voted to victory, the TRS candidate will not do any developmental works and instead only confine to add soda to KCR at his farm house besides carrying bags of Kavita, the TRS MP, they alleged.
They said the TRS government failed to keep its promises of crop loan waiver, pensions to eligible, ration cards and others. The people should vote for Jagga Reddy for their good, they said, adding that BJP should get at least one vote more than the TRS candidate.
