Rourkela (Orissa), April 18: A retired school teacher was arrested today for allegedly raping a minor girl of Kinjirikela in Orissa’s Sundargarh district.
“Sixty-two-year-old Ishwar Sahu was arrested on the charge of raping the six-year-old girl. The girl and the accused will be medically examined tomorrow at Sundargarh district headquarters hospital,” Sub-divisional Police Officer of Sundargrh (Sadar) Suresh Mishra said.
The girl alleged that Sahu took her to the backyard of their house at Teldihi village on the pretext of giving a chocolate and raped her.
The incident took place on April one but the parents of the girl complained to the police today, Mishra said.
The clothes of the girl were seized and investigation was on, he said.
