): Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao today criticized TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to deceive people of Telangana. Talking to reporters here he said that KCR is indulging in double standards with regard to merger of his party into the Congress fold as it was stated by Seemandhra leaders. He alleged that KCR is taking a reverse turn after Telangana got statehood. It is not correct on the part of TRS to escape, he said. He suggested that KCR should take a decision on the merger after holding talks with his party, JCA and students organizations. He stated that KCR’s merger comments gave much pain to him and other congress party leaders. Indeed we are taken by surprise by KCR’s reverse talk on merger. AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi who faced a lot of criticism and took much pain and obstacles has given statehood to Telangana. And now the TRS is trying to misguide the people of the region, he alleged. He attributed the statehood to the sacrifices of youth and students.
HAVE TRUCK TO RULE T: GANDRA
Another leader G Venkata Ramana Reddy said that TRS will become a ruling party if it prefers to have a truck with the Congress. Otherwise the TRS will remain an opposition in Telangana state. He also opposed Jagan Reddy for his Telangana tour. Reddy warned that people of the region will revolt against Jagan if he tours in Telangana.
MERGER WITH CONDITIONS: MANDA
Meanwhile, TRS leader Manda Jagannatham stated that their party will not indulge in opportunistic politics. Only TRS can do better with regard to rebuild Telangana region, he claimed. He flayed Union Minister Jairam Ramesh and AICC leader Digvijay Singh for unilateral talk on the merger issue. He said that they are ready to merge with the Congress if our conditions are accepted.
