Resume illegally alienated Telangana lands: MLC

Congress MLC Yadava Reddy has demanded that the State government initiate immediate steps to resume Telangana lands worth several thousands of crores of rupees, which were illegally alienated during late YSR regime for pecuniary gain.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Yadava Reddy alleged that late chief minister YSR had illegally and indiscriminately handed over prime lands in Telangana to Special Economic Zones and private institutions for making hay. As a result, the people of the Telangana region suffered irreparable loss and mental agony. He also pointed out that prime lands in and around the State capital were usurped by unscrupulous persons and institutions.

Yadava Reddy pointed out that the “loot of prime lands in Telangana” was proved by the CAG report, CBI probe and the courts. Under the circumstances, the Kiran Kumar Reddy government has bounden duty to rectify the mistakes made by the YSR regime and punish the culprits with iron hand.

The MLC also brushed aside the allegations of the YSR Congress party leaders even after the CBI sleuths brought home the guilt of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy that he had plundered thousands of crores of rupees public money in connivance of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He advised the YSR Congress party leaders not to make false allegations against the Congress high command out of ill-will and frustration. He asked them to prove their innocence in the court of law if they feel that they are honest and not guilty. (NSS)
