Govt. has finalized the revised structure of fees for Engineering College students. In doing so, Govt. has put additional burden on the students. Govt. issued GO. No 57 according to which it has fixed the fees ranging from Rs.35, 000 to Rs.1, 13, 000 in 175 colleges. In this way the number of colleges charging more than Rs.35, 000 has increased. It is reported that in these 175 colleges the candidates has to bear the additional burden of fees irrespective of ranks. In respect of student belonging to SC’s and ST’s, Govt. will pay the fees if there ranks are below 10, 000 the remaining students have to pay Rs.35, 000 only, in this way the number of students getting the benefit of fees reimbursement scheme will be minimal.
