Police, who could not prevent the ABVP activists from gate crashing into the Chief Minister’s camp office on Friday, have imposed restrictions on the media that reported the failure of the security mechanism.
Police on Saturday directed the media, which generally waits at the gate of the camp office to have an eye on those who meet the Chief Minister and interview the visitors was now asked to wait at the Manjeera guest house, next to the camp office where they would have no view of what was happening.
Media was critical of the security lapse as two of the ABVP activists could scale the gate of the camp office and enter the compound. Instead of strengthening the security and checking the lapses, police have chosen to show vengeance towards the media.
