161st Urs Celebration of the Muslim Saint of Deccan, Hazrath Syed Afzal Biyabani started yesterday in Kazipet, Warangal District.
Speaking on this occasion, former Minister of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir told that Islam is a natural religion. It not only provides guidance only to the Muslims but it shows the right path to the entire humanity. Islam teaches to respect the sentiments of the followers of other religions and not to humiliate them. We should follow the Islamic principles strictly and respect all the other religions. We should not ridicule the followers of other religions on trivial matters.
Mr. Taraka Rama Rao (TRS MLA) said that in the event of formation of separate Telangana State, Muslims would be given 12% reservations. He also told that only due to the struggles of the Muslims, the dream of formation of Telangana State could be materialized.
Collector of Warangal District Mr. Rahul Buja also presented flowers on the shrine of the said saint and offered prayers for the peace of the district.
Mr. Ventakateshwara Rao, S.P. of Warangal also offered prayers. Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani performed the rituals of the Urs of the saint.
Minister of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah was also present on this occasion.
