Respect of elders depicts our values- Governor

Governor of A.P. Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan stressed the need for the youths to give importance to values and civilization due to which they would lead successful life. He also told them to respect elders since it is the fundamental value of Indian life. He was addressing 150th Anniversary of Mahboob College. He advised the teachers to concentrate on the improvement of students abilities instead of paying attention on their salaries. The best reward for a student is that he should respect his teachers. The students should know that they have scaled greater heights due to the best education of their teachers.

He emphasized the parents to promote values for the betterment of the future of their children. Money cannot inculcate good morals. It can be done only through education. He told that youth to respect their elders. Whatever education they get, they should not forget it. Parents sacrifice their lives for getting their children educated. The youngsters should always support the trust and they should fulfill their duties towards society.

Union Minister of State, Mr. S.Satyanarayana told that good education is given not only by corporate educational institutions but institution like Mahboob College also.

President of the Managing Committee, Mr. C.P. Namdev welcomed the guests. Ms. Vidya Rani, honorary secretary presented the report. Mr. M.P. Ravindranath, Convener of Souvenir Committee demanded the government to change the name of Patny Circle as Swami Vivekananda Circle since Swamiji had visited Mahboob College in 1893 before going to Chicago and had addressed the people of this city. He also demanded the Govt. to install the statue of Mr. Somasundram Mudaliar, Founder of Mahboob College.
