16-year-old Shahnaz Begum belongs to a poor family, but her intelligence and urge for getting education brought her to Umda Bazaar High School where she is studying in class 10th.
Shahnaz Begum’s father died in a train accident 2 years ago. Since then the family is undergoing testing times. Working in the houses as domestic labour Shahnaz’s mother is imparting education to her 3 sons. Though her mother lives at Shadnagar, Shahnaz lives in Hyderabad with her grandmother for studies. She hopes to get good marks in the exam. She wishes to continue further studies and wants to become doctor. She is also a practicing Muslima. Her grandmother also works in 4 houses to make both ends meet. She told that at school all eyes are upon her hoping that she will pass the exam with flying colours hence she has pressure on her to study hard.
