The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on Thursday passed a resolution demanding implementation of a separate Sub-Plan in the budget for Minorities and Backward Classes. When the discussion on sub plan for backward classes was continued in the legislative council, the Muslim members of legislative council started demanding Muslim sub plan on par with SC ST Sub plan. Seeing the demand, legislative council chairman Mr. Chakrapani passed a resolution for both minorities and backward classes.
Muslim MLCs Mr. Farooq Husain, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, Mr. Mahmood Ali, Mr. Ameenul Hasan Jaffery, Mr. Mohammed Saleem put demand of minority sub plan in the legislative council.
