Jerusalem, January 11: The only way to put an end to Israel’s aggressions is resorting to force and resistance as the Israeli regime does not comply with any diplomatic efforts, an analyst says.
“I believe what is taken by power, we should get it back by power and this is the only language that Israel understands,” human rights activist Dr. Nada Haswi said in an interview with Media.
Haswi warned that Israelis “are not going to listen to anybody, not to the United States, not to the European Committee, nobody. They are just going to do whatever they want.”
“They have been killing Palestinians over and over again and killing Arabs, Lebanese and all nationalities,” the expert opined.
“The UN, the United States and the European Committee are not going to do anything, because like we know, they keep on selling them weapons; they keep on saying something in the press and they go and do another deal” she noted.
On Sunday, Israeli bulldozers destroyed a hotel compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) to build 20 new settler units on the occupied Palestinian land, defying international calls to end the demolitions.
The latest Israeli move in its demolitions in the illegally annexed city comes as Palestinian Authority leaders say they will not return to direct talks unless Israel stops all its settlement construction.
Bulldozers have been working overtime since direct talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis broke down after Tel Aviv decided not to extend the partial settlement freeze in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
In 2010 alone, Israel destroyed nearly 40 Palestinian homes and 90 shops in East al-Quds, with the dramatic increase of razing homes giving rise to concerns about Israel’s plan to remove the Palestinians from the occupied city and judaize the Palestinians’ demanded capital.
A recent report by the United Nations warned that almost a quarter of the 250,000 Palestinians living in East al-Quds are at the risk of having their homes leveled by Israel.
