The water scarcity problem in Noor Colony, Shastripuram has turned into a serious problem. There are no fixed timings for water supply; even if the water is released the pressure remains very low with such pressure water couldn’t reach the utensils. The colony has cent percent poor Muslim population.
A local woman named Hajera said we don’t have any idea when the water is supplied sometimes it comes at night then all the family members have to work hard on war footing to collect and store water. Another resident Shaikh Yousuf said with the pressure through which the water is supplied it becomes impossible for us to collect water when we use pump to draw water it is termed as criminal offence.
