Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali inaugurated new residential schools for minorities in various Assembly Constituencies of Greater Hyderabad. He was accompanied by Secretary of the Society, Mr. Shafiullah, Chairman of Minorities Finance Corporation, Mr. Syed Akbar Husain and a large number of TRS leaders.
Mr. Mahmood Ali inaugurated these schools in Bandlaguda, Moghalpura and Langer Houz. Speaking on this occasion, he told that Govt. of Telangana is establishing these residential schools to equip the students from minority communities with education. He further told that only through education, economic backwardness could be removed. He also said that any nation which gets deprived of education does not find its name in the pages of history.
He mentioned that Mr. KCR was very much worried about the educational backwardness of the Muslim community. After assuming power, he established these residential schools to fulfill his election promises. For any community, development is possible only through education. All those countries which are developed understood the importance of education. He said that the establishment of minorities’ residential schools is an example for other states of the country. In order to provide quality education, expert teachers are being recruited. Students are being provided with sport activities also. He informed that Govt. of Telangana is establishing 71 new residential schools for minorities this year. If the response is good, next year some more schools could be established. He told that Govt. is spending Re. 1 lakh per student in these schools. He advised the parents whose children did not get admission not to get disappointed.
Mr. Syed Akbar Husain, Chairman, Minorities Finance Corporation also addresses the gathering and said that it is a welcome step of the Govt. By seeing the progress made by TRS, it seems that in the next few years, all the minority candidates would get educated.
