Reservations to Muslims who suffered subjugation imperative: Prof. Keshav Rao Jadhav

Declaring the welfare activities of Asif Jahi era as the greatest achievement, convenor Telangana Jana Parishad Prof. Keshav Rao Jadhav said that Asif Jahi rulers by establishing nearly 152 business centres provided employment opportunities to people of Telangana region irrespective of religion and caste, which were in a planned manner pushed to the verge of destruction after Andhra Pradesh formation.

Jadhav recalled that during Asif Jahi era free standard education opportunities were provided to all backward sections this was the reason why Hyderabad boasts distinguished place in the entire country. Narrating the series of incidents occurred since the merger of Hyderabad in Indian Union till date he claimed that lives of Muslims were worst affected by the foundation of united Andhra Pradesh state. Where majority of Muslim population was educated, during the past 60 years due to conspiracies of Andhrite leaders and investors majority of the Muslims lack education. Besides this Muslims were kept away from government jobs.

After 60 year long struggle now that the Telangana state has become a reality the promises done to all sections including Muslims must be fulfilled. A roadmap is needed to put the promises done to backward sections particularly Muslims into practice. Advocating reservations to Muslims proportionate to their population in all fields of life he said reservations to Muslims who suffered maximum suppression is imperative.
