Reservations to Muslims a prerequisite for Golden Telangana: Jyoti Kiran

The real culture of Telangana is the Deccani Culture which was once the paradigm of communal harmony and fraternity but thanks to the conspiracies of Andhrite leaders the Deccani Culture became passé in the aftermath of Andhra Pradesh formation. HC advocate and co-convenor Telangana Advocate JAC, Mrs. Jyoti Kiran told this while talking about the injustices done to Muslims in united Andhra Pradesh.

She recalled that before the formation of Andhra Pradesh Hindus and Muslims of Telangana region used to join each other’s festival celebration but Andhrite rulers in order to usurp the rich natural resources of Telangana region, at first, disrupted the communal harmony of Telangana. She claimed that religious, caste, or class politics had not emerged till the rule of Asif Jahi Sultanate. But the Andhrite rulers, by their hegemony, changed the political face of the Telangana region.

Mrs. Kiran declared restoration of Deccani Culture as essential for the development of Telangana. She asserted that Muslims were worst affected by Andhra Pradesh formation. She said High Court also had considerable Muslim presence as Attorney Generals, Senior Judges, Public Prosecutors but Muslims were not only ousted from High Court but also from state administration on the pretext of their lack of English knowledge. Mrs. Jyoti Kiran appealed the political parties to fulfill their promise of reservations to Muslims. She claimed that Reservations to Muslims is a prerequisite for social justice and formation of Golden Telangana.
