Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Implementation and Support

-With the support of the ERD Manager and Coordinator, research, design and plan for the implementation of new activities.
-Implement and oversee new activities, supporting the development of material for sessions and trainings as necessary.
-Prepare and track workplans/activity plans, and submit monthly cash requests reflecting the budgetary needs of the program activities in the coming month.

Monitoring and Evaluation

-Work with the ERD Program Manager on the program monitoring system, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
-Analyze data and follow up with beneficiaries (via home visits, phone calls, etc.) in a timely manner.
-Support in designing new tools as necessary to better measure impact of program on beneficiaries’ protection.
-Produce monthly monitoring reports for the ERD Program Manager on the output/impact of the ERD activities.
Coordination

-Meet with local partners as necessary and relevant to coordinate on activity implementation and any other logistical requirements.
-Attend relevant coordination groups at the request of the ERD Manager.
-Build and maintain relationships with staff of other organizations who are implementing similar projects to share information and learn from one another.

Other Duties

-Support and supervise volunteers. Prepare volunteer payments and oversee their day to day work
-Refer all individuals who report an incident of GBV to the WPE Counsellors, and will make other relevant referrals to internal or external programs
Compile statistics and weekly activity reports
-Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions
-Attend trainings and assist in organizing trainings as required

-Work constructively within the team and take initiative on new tasks
Prepare procurement and purchase requests as needed for program and follow up on those requests
-Maintain relevant program files

-Any other task designated by the Program Manager

Skills:

REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor degree in economics, financial management, international development, human rights or related field required. Master Degree preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years professional experience in economic or financial management related programming, primarily in relation to refugee or development programs with NGOs. Candidates with some protection experience (such as women’s or child protection) preferred.
•MUST have experience working with refugee populations, and additional experience working with vulnerable Jordanian communities.
•Experience with cash transfer programming and market-based emergency responses strongly desired.
•Demonstrated experience in program implementation and training.

•Strong written and oral communication skills (in English and Arabic), effective in representation and liaison with external parties.
•Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, strong organization and time management skills, flexible, and able to handle pressure well.
•Fluency in Arabic and English required.

WORK ENVIRNOMENT:

The position will be based in Mafraq, Jordan with frequent visits to the field sites (including Ramtha and Irbid). The ERD Officer will be responsible for transporting him/herself to/from the Mafraq office (approximately 1 hour drive from Amman).
