Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy will made representation with the government for holding World Urdu Conference in the state. Recently Telugu Conference was organised in the state on large scale in which president Pranab Mukherjee participated.
Following the conduct of World Telugu Conference, Urdu circles were also demanding for similar Urdu conference as Urdu is the 2nd official language of the state. Various Urdu organizations and institutions called the attention of secretary / director Urdu Academy, Dr S A Shukoor towards the matter on which he assured that he will take the matter to secretary Minority Welfare Dana Kishore. He told that he will meet secretary Minority Welfare tomorrow and make him aware of the feelings of Urdu people.
