Floor leader of CPI in A.P. Assembly Mr. G. Mallesh demanded the Chief Minister to represent the matter to Central Govt. for issuing instructions to the authorities of Urdu University to appoint Urdu Knowing teaching staff. He also demanded to institute an enquiry to probe into the irregularities committed by the University in appointing non-Urdu knowing teachers. He demanded for the cancellation of all such recruitments.
The main objective of the university is to impart higher education through the medium of Urdu. Amending the university act, appointments were made and the posts were filled up by non-Urdu knowing teachers which is illegal and unconstitutional. He requested the CM to file a suit for violating the mandate of the University and for going against the guidelines of the University Grants Commission.
