Representation on Urdu issues inevitable

(Siasat News) Even today Urdu is facing many difficulties and inconveniences. The hostile attitude of the Govt. is the hurdle in the development of Urdu. Despite giving officials status of a second language in 14 districts of A.P., no application in Urdu is being accepted in Govt. offices. Urdu translators are not being recruited. The sign boards of Govt. offices are also not being written in Urdu. There is no Urdu in Bus stands or on buses.

It is, therefore, imperative on all the organizations of Urdu to struggle jointly to represent Urdu issues to the Govt.

These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Arifuddin, President of Tahaffuz-e-Urdu in a meeting held at Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Oriental Research Institute, Public Garden yesterday.

Mr. Shafi Iqbal presided over the meeting. The chief guests were Hafiz Peer Shabbeer Ahmed, MLC, Mr. Shah Jehan Basha, MLA, Madanapally, Chittoor District, MR. Ibn-e-Ghouri and Mohammed Tameezuddin.

Mr. Arifuddin welcomed the guests and the audience. Dr. Shafaat Ali conducted the meeting.

The meeting started with the “Hamd” of Allah (SWT). Mr. Shaik Ahmed Sayeed welcomed the guests.
