Representation to probe molestation case

A delegation led by Mr. Syed Tariq Quadri met Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of A.P. State Minorities Commission and demanded to issue orders to the Govt. for reinvestigating the molestation case of the girl student of TRR polytechnic. The delegation told the Chairman that a new item was published in an English Daily that the molestation case of the Muslim girl who was missing from the past 17 months is being closed and that the investigation has been entrusted to the Police Officer who had handled the case carelessly earlier.

Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khalid told the commission that no action has been taken against the management of TRR Polytechnic College. He also told that the statements of flat owners were also not recorded. Police also failed to trace out the hospital in which her abortion took place. He expressed surprise that the culprit was released on bail within 60 days. He demanded the Chairman to instruct the Govt. to reopen the case and investigate afresh. The sources of Minorities Commission indicated that the Chairman has written a letter to Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad to send a report.
