Hyderabad, April 20: Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Ullah, following the report of withdrawal of prayer facility for Muslims at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, urged the GMR Airport authority to setup a permanent shutter on the present place for prayer so that Muslim passengers and persons who accompany them, and also workers, Taxi and auto drivers can perform 5 times prayers as well as Friday prayers with convenience.
He said that since the tents were removed, musalli (who offer prayer) have to bear the brunt of heat and sun while performing prayer.
Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Ullah urged the airport authorities to settle the issue soon.
On the direction of the Minister a letter has also been sent to the Managing Director RGI in this connection.
