New Delhi: When the Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari contacted Prime Minister and sought appointment to discuss the attacks made on minorities and Dalits, the Prime Minister asked him to bring community issues and their solution as well. On this Shahi Imam said the solution lies with government itself if the government wishes, the issues would automatically be resolved.
It must be noted that Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari had expressed anger over the killing of Pehlu Khan in Rajasthan and had sought appointment to discuss attacks on minorities and other issues related to them. After 4 months the reply came from the prime minister in which he asked to first mention the agenda of the meeting, he also asked Shahi Imam to bring solutions along with the issues. Besides Shahi Imam was asked to come in the form of a delegation.
On this Shahi Imam said the agenda is quite clear. It is to demand to stop the attacks made on minorities. He said it is not possible to bring solutions along with the issues. Because the solution lies with the prime minister and the government itself. Shahi imam rejected meeting with the delegation saying that there is no point in meeting PM with a delegation.
